Type-1: Number Test

In this type of question, generally, a set, group, or series of numbers is given and the candidate is asked to trace out numbers following certain given rules or conditions.

Type-2: Alphabets Test

In this type of question, generally, a set or sequence of alphabets is given and the candidates are asked to trace or compare out the sequence of the given alphabet following certain rules or conditions.

For example – How many such Ds are there in the following numbers sequence each of which is immediately followed by A or C but not immediately preceded by P or Q?

Type-3: Ranking Test

In this type of questions, generally the ranks of a person both from the top and from the bottom; or from left and from right; or from the front and from back; are mentioned and the total numbers of the person asked; and sometimes from one end position given and total numbers of the person given and asked for rank from another hand. However sometimes to make question difficult put question in the form of the puzzle of interchanging seats by two persons.

For Example – Ram ranks seventh from bottom and twenty-sixth from the top in a class. How many students in the class?

Type-4: Time Sequence Test

In this type of question, generally, a time period is given in the form of a puzzle candidate is required to trace it and answer the questions.

For example – A car for Mumbai leaves every thirty minutes from a railway station. An inquiry clerk told a passenger that the car had already left 10 minutes ago and the next car leaves at 10:40 AM. At what time did the car leave the railway station?
